Abbey College Cambridge is a private co-educational secondary school founded in 1994 and located in the historic university city of Cambridge. It is part of the Alpha Plus Group and is recognised as one of England’s leading private colleges offering an extended Sixth Form curriculum. The college educates around 260 students, approximately 40% of whom are international.

The academic focus of Abbey College Cambridge is preparation for entry to top UK universities, including Oxbridge. Students can follow programmes such as Grade 9, GCSE, A-Level and the International Foundation Programme, as well as specialised pathways including medical preparation courses and English language training. Many graduates progress to the University of Cambridge and other highly ranked institutions in the UK and abroad, supported by strong academic results, with around 90% of A-Level grades at A or B.

Student support plays a central role in college life. From admission through to university application, learners receive guidance from subject teachers, personal tutors and administrative staff. This includes additional lessons when needed, psychological support, career seminars and university counselling. Dedicated advisors assist with university selection, applications, entrance exams and campus visits.

Accommodation is available either in a modern residence close to the academic building or with host families. Students live in single or shared rooms with private facilities, and full board meals are provided. The campus features 28 classrooms, six laboratories, computer facilities, Wi-Fi access and student common areas.

Beyond academics, students can choose from over 50 clubs and societies covering sports, sciences, arts, music and community activities, as well as participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Abbey College Cambridge also organises international educational trips. Around 99% of students successfully complete their examinations and continue to leading universities worldwide.
