King’s College London is a founding member of the University of London and today stands as the second largest college in the UK capital. Established in 1829 by King George IV and the Duke of Wellington, it is the fourth oldest higher education institution in Britain and holds a strong international reputation for academic quality and research excellence.

The university educates over 25,000 students, including a large international population representing more than 100 countries. Academically, King’s College London is organized into around 60 departments and delivers programmes in more than 200 fields across nine faculties, covering areas from arts and humanities to medicine, law, business, sciences, psychology and social studies. The university’s alumni community exceeds 194,000 graduates and includes 12 Nobel Prize laureates, as well as influential figures such as Peter Higgs, Michael Levitt, John Keats, Virginia Woolf and Somerset Maugham.
Student life combines academic study with extensive extracurricular opportunities, including sports, creative activities and cultural events. The university operates five campuses across London, offering modern teaching, research, social and sports facilities. Accommodation is available in residences or apartments but is not included in tuition fees, and students arrange their own meals. The academic year runs from September to June.
