Royal Hospital School Summer Camp takes place on the historic campus of Royal Hospital School, set in a quiet riverside area overlooking the River Stour. Founded in 1712, the school offers a calm and secure environment that supports full academic immersion. The campus is located approximately 140 km from London, with Stansted Airport 80 km away and Gatwick and Heathrow around 160–177 km away, making it accessible while remaining away from busy urban areas.

Summer programmes combine English language learning with cultural discovery. Classes are held on weekdays and include three academic hours per day. Lessons are structured to balance grammar and vocabulary development with interactive speaking practice through role play and communication-based activities. No prior language certification is required, as students complete a placement test on arrival.

Participants live on campus on a full-board basis. Accommodation includes shared rooms for two to four students as well as limited single-room options. Bathrooms are shared, and common lounges with modern TV equipment are available for relaxation. Living arrangements are designed to ensure comfort and safety throughout the stay.

Outside the classroom, students follow a varied leisure programme that includes sports, creative workshops and daily social activities. Football, tennis, basketball, dance and studio-based activities are available on campus. Each week also includes two excursions: one full-day trip, often to London or Cambridge, and one shorter visit to destinations such as Colchester or Clacton-on-Sea.

The campus has recently undergone major modernisation, with over £19 million invested in facilities. Students benefit from updated classrooms, laboratories, recreation areas, a heated indoor swimming pool, sports centre, gym and outdoor courts. Course fees include many core services, while transfers, insurance and visa-related services are charged separately. Upon completion, students receive a certificate confirming their academic progress and English language development.
